VOLT Studios is excited to be apart of the short film Waabooz, the story of “making a superhero with really long ears”. Director Molly Katagiri asked VOLT to partner for over 2 minutes of animation for the film. “It was a pleasure to work with Molly and illustrator Nicolas Selma to give life to his beautiful drawings” said Tom Jacobsen Creative Director at VOLT. Kurtis Benson and Tom provided the animation for Waabooz. Tom and Molly have also worked together on her film “Golden Hour”.
The short film Waabooz recently won the Audience Choice Award at TFT as well as Achievement in Animation at the LA Skins Fest.
